Just adorable…

What a wonderful time I had photographing the Hilsabeck family!
Jennifer contacted me few weeks ago looking forward “to capture the memory of what we are sure will be an amazing trip”. Mom, dad, grandparents, a 17 years old son and two 16 months old toddlers - wow, there was no doubt about an interesting, exciting and fun session.

Little Red Dress

We do shoot a lot of weddings and naturally 99% of brides do wear the traditional white dress. It looks awesome against the blue sky and blue ocean. However a few weeks ago whilst we were helping at a very upscale local charity event at the Regent Palms, one of the main organizers Foluso was wearing a fabulous red dress. Would she like to do a photo shoot ? We’ve known Foluso for many years and luckily she agreed to help - we are so glad she did!!

Fun Day at the Amanyara

Who said that having your photo taken is not fun?
On November 7th I had the opportunity to photograph Roben and Mike at the Amanyara Resort and we all had a great time!
There is nothing better and more stress-relieving than starting your photo shoot with a pillow fight!

Family Portraits - they can be fun!!

The biggest reservation people (and that’s mainly Dads and husbands we are talking about) have with “having their picture taken” is that it’s going to be a slow, painful, posed affair and a visit to the dentist is actually preferable. After all, when was the last time you had FUN having your picture taken?
Well it’s a mission for us at Tropical Imaging to do just that - to make it fun. NO saying cheese. NO poses straight out of the 1870’s and that is exactly what we were able to do for Donnie and Carolyn a few days ago.

Double Trouble?

I have to admit I was a little nervous learning that we had booked a photo shoot with Tracy and Serge and their two, 9 month old twin boys.
Getting one baby to “perform on cue” can be a challenge - two - at the same time???

Steve and Tina at Amanyara

Amanyara’s certainly been our busiest location for portraits recently, as you can see from our blog!
Last week I had a great time photographing Tina & Steve from Nebraska, who came to Amanyara with the Toyota group.
One of the cool things about Amanyara is that there are so many different places to shoot - so I can use slightly different locations each time.
We had an amazing sunset this time to end our session with - some very dramatic clouds!

Sharon & Ron

What a fabulous wedding we captured on November 8th! Yes, I’m a little late posting this article, but I absolutely have to share with all of you some beautiful images of this unique event.
Sharon and Ron pronounced their vows on the Somerset pristine beach , accompanied by their closest family and friends. From home, Sharon’s dad walked her down the aisle and assisted the ceremony via mobile - what a special touch to make him part of their day!
