Provo Primary School Photos 2008

Posted by Anita Marcus

provo_0008first.jpgAt the beginning of every year it is that time again where we go to the Provo Primary School to take the School photographs. There are about 120 kids in the school and since we do the photos every year we pretty much know them by now. It is so much fun for us to do! We try to be silly with the kids to get the best smiles out of them and usually it works great, sometimes we have to work at it a little harder and throw in a fluffy parrot. Thanks to the teachers at Provo Primary School and Krystin for helping us out with the photo shoot. Read the rest of this entry »

Wedding bells

Posted by Ileana Ravasio

cook_067.jpgPlanning a destination wedding is not always easy - the local wedding coordinators are great, but a trip to the island to check the venue and vendors, finalize the details and enjoy a warm ray of sun and dip in the ocean is always worth it.

We love to meet our wedding couple a few months prior to the event to truly personalize our services. Meghan and Matt will get married in July at The Regent Palms and I had the wonderful opportunity to spend some time with them and her parents.

The Francis Family

Posted by David Gallardo

Dancing in the dark with Brook and Peter

Posted by Chris Mann

bock_150.jpgLast Saturday’s wedding at The Somerset on Grace Bay was a little different from our typical weddings - Brook and Peter from New York held their wedding ceremony after sunset in accordance with Jewish tradition - so we had to bring our video lights and flash equipment so that we could cover the ceremony, which was outdoors on the beach.

We’ve covered wedding ceremonies like this a few times before so it’s not a problem - and although the ceremony coverage is not quite so straightforward on the technical side as with a daytime wedding, we always have a great time photographing the preparations as the sun goes down, and also the dancing at the reception afterwards - and this wedding was no exception. Meghan and Max

Posted by Ileana Ravasio

steinbrenner_055.jpgMeghan and Max Steinbrenner got married last Saturday, February 02nd 2008, on the beautiful Royal West Indies beach.

20 friends and family members left the cold winter behind and travel to the island to celebrate their union. It was an elegant yet simple affair, full of love and joy.

Estelle Cartstens from Nila Destinations, did an excellent job helping the couple organizing the wedding - the beers she brought to Meghan and Max during the photo shoot was a super-appreciated extra touch!

Share a smile…

Posted by Ileana Ravasio

mmckay_142.jpg… and make me happy!

The great advantage of being a professional photographer is to be able to share wonderful moments, experiences and feelings - how can’t I consider myself extremely lucky when I enter a family home and be welcomed by beautiful smiling faces?!?

Last week the McKay Family opened their door to me - Sarah, Sean and Rachel moved from the UK to Provo a few months ago to establish BBN Tours: leaving behind the British rainy sky to offer beautiful excursions on their great boats was a step that changed their lives.

Making a video for the Aids Awareness Foundation

Posted by Chris Mann

tcaaf-150.jpgWe shoot lots of wedding videos, and more and more these days we’re shooting commercial video as well - whether it’s covering events like the World Travel Awards, or making promotional pieces for hotels, resorts, developers, and other business in the islands.

But over the last couple of weeks I’ve been working on a very different project - a promotional video to help raise money for the Turks & Caicos AIDS Awareness FoundationRead the rest of this entry »

A sweet little veil

Posted by Ileana Ravasio

whitt_218.jpg Wendy and Brandon got married last Saturday, January 26th 2008, at the beautiful Somerset Resort and I had the honor to capture the wonderful moment that united their lives.

A cloudy sky and quite a lot of rain are never common in the Turks and Caicos Islands but sometimes they won the battle against the sun. Thanks to the bride and groom’s great spirits, the support of family and friends and the amazing organization of Katrina York (the Somerset Events Planner) and her staff, the wedding was a real success.

The Simpson Family

Posted by Anita Marcus

simpson_001-150.jpgDavid and I took the Simpson Family, who live right down here in the beautiful islands of the Turks and Caicos, to Leeward Beach on the North Side of Providenciales. The beach is an amazing back drop for a photo shoot because of the rock formations all along this stretch of beach. We had a fantastic sunset at the end of our session, who could ask for anything more? A good looking family maybe? Well I am going to let the images speak for themselves!
