The Moes Family at Villa Renaissance

Family get-togethers are always fun to shoot - and this week’s was no exception. Kellie and I headed to the splendid surroundings of Villa Renaissance on Tuesday to photograph the Moes family - Mike Sr. & his wife Sue, their son Mike Jr & his wife Cindy with sons Ethan and Adam, and daughter Kathy and her husband Tom.

We had previously photographed Cindy’s sister and her family when they visited Turks & Caicos last May, so it was nice to meet the other side of the family!

Pictures in the gardens are always a good place to start, especially when the sun is still bright…

…but we could tell that Ethan and Adam were keen to get to the beach:

So off we went…

Knowing how reluctant adults can be to pose for portraits, I decided to show them how quick and easy it can be! As the soft light just after sunset took over the sky, I just sat each person down on a beach chair and inside five minutes we had this series of images…

And yes, we did have a gorgeous sunset to finish the day with…
