Traveling thousands of miles to see your family

Posted by Anita Marcus Posted in Portraits |

first-photo2.jpgI met Jenny for the first time at the dock in Parrot Cay where she was waiting with her dad for the boat back to Provo.

Jenny works as the Villa Manager for the beautiful Amanyara Resort. Her dad, who is 82 years old, came all the way from the Philippines to see his daughter.

I noticed right away the love and friendship between the two of them. Two days later I went over to Amanyara to capture this very special time for both of them. Her dad is amazing, very energetic, I still can’t believe he is really 82 and is still working back in the Philippines too. Does that mean working is good for you? Something to think about.

  1. the closeness of father and daughter shown in the pictures is very touching. i especially like the picture wherein the father is holding a shell, you can see the joy in both their faces. Special pictures are those that capture the joy and nature.

Congratulations for these heartwarming father-and-daughter photos! I also like both individual portrait shots! The time of your shoot / quality of lighting resulted in richer colors and dramatic contrasts. Most importantly, you have captured her Dad’s joy, as well as Jenny’s expressive eyes and signature sweet smile!
