Wedfog - wedding photography demystified

Wedfog? What’s that, I hear you ask? Well basically it’s a new website that aims to help future brides and grooms plan their wedding, and especially their photography more easily and successfully. The name “Wedfog” is short for “Wedding Photographer’s Directory”, but it’s also named  that way because the site aims to “clear away the fog” that can surround the whole business of finding a photographer for your wedding.

So what’s new about this? Aren’t there a whole bunch of wedding advisory and directory websites already? Well yes there are - but this is the first one that has been created by a group of professional wedding photographers themselves, rather than by magazine or online journalists. So the advice that’s given is from experts in their field.

Of course the website also has a directory of photographers - initially it’s based on the USA and Canada (though as founder-members we are in the directory, listed under Miami!) but will expand overseas eventually.

The great strengths of the Wedfog site are its comprehensive articles on all aspects of wedding photography, its “Honest FAQ” section about what to expect from your photographer, a huge gallery of images by top professionals, and of course the directory itself.
