Dellis Cay Groundbreaking Ceremony

On June 20th the development of the exclusive Dellis Cay Resort took a major step forward with the groundbreaking ceremony, which marked the official beginning of construction work on this private island getaway.

We were there to cover the event on behalf of the developers, with both video and stills…

The groundbreaking was conducted by Dr. Cem Kinay of O Property Collection, the development company for Dells Cay, together with Dr. Michael Misick, Premier of the Turks & Caicos Islands, and His Excellency Mr. Richard Tauwhare, Governor of Turks & Caicos. Mr. Jorge Gonzales, Executive Vice President of Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group Southern & Caribbean also spoke at the ceremony.

Mandarin Oriental will be managing and providing services to guests and owners on Dellis Cay when it opens in 2010. The island will be one of the most exclusive, private and up-scale developments in the Caribbean when completed.
