Katherine and Robert’s Parrot Cay Wedding - part one…
Posted by Andy Mann Posted in Weddings |
When you look through this post and the second half (coming soon) you need to turn on your iTunes and have playing “Sympathy for the Devil” by the legendary Rolling Stones…it’s the song that the bride walked down the aisle to and that became the “theme song” for the wedding. This wedding was “rockin’ and rolling” from start to finish.
The day started off at the eastern end of Providenciales where all the guests, family, officiating minister, helpers, two bands and myself were picked up by two of Parrot Cay’s shuttle boats for the 40 min trip to the island.

With some of the wedding party having been out until 0530am the night before - even noon was an early start!

The actual wedding location was at a private villa on the island - rather than the main resort.

The groom, father of the bride, best man and Neil, a local friend of Rob’s take a moment to share a cigar or two.

The music for the lunch party and early afternoon, was the “Island Boys” - however they faced serious competition from the bride’s parents, her brother and several other “family band members” - things were really starting to “rock”.

ROCK STAR!

The two moms found a shady spot to relax for a moment…

Meanwhile, with the wedding ceremony quickly approaching, Katherine was in the midst of her preparations in the gorgeous master suite.

The groom and the best man were also taking the preparations seriously!!

Some final touches for Katherine…..

All the groomsmen plus most of the male guests get airborne!! (can you hear the music?)

Meanwhile the staff at Parrot Cay had prepared the wedding ceremony location to perfection. It really did look fabulous.

With minutes to go, Robert was finally out of the pool (for the record he was actually on time!).

As a local volunteer fire-fighter in the TCI Robert helped out over in Grand Turk after it suffered damage from Hurricane Ike….

Katherine had an amazing dress that fitted her like a glove..

“I can’t breathe!”

Things always take longer than expected and by now we were behind the official schedule - this wouldn’t normally matter too much, but everyone was returning back to Providenciales at the end of the evening - so we couldn’t be too late - before we ran out the door we took literally 3 minutes to create some shots of Katherine looking gorgeous..

It was an amazing “first half” to the wedding day. The lunch, the pool party, the music - it was all a great celebration and everyone had a wonderful time. The second half of the wedding was now about to start..
- coming soon !
