Tantra & Keith’s Wedding
Posted by David Gallardo
Most weddings we photograph in Providenciales are normally on Grace Bay beach in front of one of the many upscale hotels in the area, but sometimes we have people that are looking for something a little more quiet and private. Another option is to celebrate your wedding at one of the many great rental villas you can find in the Turks & Caicos Islands, and that is what Tantra and Keith did on November 7th at Villa Sounion. Nicole and Kelly got married a year ago on Grace Bay Beach, Providenciales – to celebrate their first year anniversary they decided to come back to the Turks and Caicos and have fun!
You heard about Terriane and Alan’s wedding in my previous article… let’s now take a look at their honeymoon, full of sunshine and beautiful smiles. We headed to Leeward Beach, a peaceful and pretty corner of Providenciales.
Last week we had some “not so typical” weather, but our beautiful Bride didn’t let it get her down. An hour before the ceremony it started raining …….and raining…..and raining, Danielle stayed as cool as a cucumber, and things went on as planned.
Everybody expects the eternal sunshine in the Turks and Caicos but Mother Nature has to do her duty to preserve the island’s beauty. A Tropical Storm was sent to bless Providenciales on Veteran’s holiday week-end, as well as Terianne and Alan’s wedding. Luckily the rain eased off for the couple and their guests, satisfying the bride’s desire to have the ceremony on the beach and take some great pictures.
I’ve always been a great fan of destination weddings. Not just in Turks and Caicos, but anywhere. Even with the “gloom and doom” of all the news these days, it was a real “ray of sunshine” to be a part of Kim and Ben’s destination wedding. No fuss, little stress and just close family and friends it was a perfect moment.
Sara and Shawn celebrated their wedding on the beautiful terrace of
It’s not everyday that you get two celebrities on an island as small as Providenciales. Last week was such a day when both Coach K from Duke’s basketball team and the USA’s Olympic Team and also Dr Oz who has not only written several best selling books, but is also known as “Oprah’s doctor as a result of his many appearances on her show.
Only 48 hours ago Anne and Michael were standing on the beach next to Grace Bay Club exchanging vows in front of a wonderful group of close friends and family. With NILA to help them, Shameka and her team from GBC also on hand it was always going to be a great wedding -and it was. The wedding also had a few “firsts” for us too….and I’ve saved the best picture for last….
Time flies by and nobody can slow it down… however some images have the power to capture a moment and make it eternal. Teejay and Paul had the wonderful idea to document their daughter’s life by scheduling a series of photo-shoots: on the first one little Harriet was only 4 months old, now she is 10 months and soon her first birthday will be celebrated. It’s fantastic to compare the images and see the changes…
