Brazilian Connection

rique_109smallMost of our clients at the Amanyara are from the United States, but last week after driving to the property I found out that the family I was photographing that afternoon were from Rio de Janeiro.

I really had a blast working with all of them, mom and daughter enjoyed having their photo taken and they were even doing some posing for the camera.

The guys were a little more shy at the beginning but after a few minutes they were laughing and having having a great time too.
Amanyara is an amazing property for family portraits and weddings, the beautiful architecture and the great views of Northwest Point makes this location a perfect photo spot. Read the rest of this entry »

A perfect island wedding!

Posted by David Gallardo

boudreaux_145small Kate and Todd were looking for the perfect and quiet location to celebrate their wedding and that is why they chose the Turks & Caicos islands .

Their wedding took place on the almost deserted Taylor Bay beach located on the south side of Providenciales. It was an small wedding with just the two of them and their baby son Gage.

After the ceremony, we had the entire beach to ourselves, Gage had a blast running around and playing with the water and the sand. To make things even better we had an incredible sunset: it really was a perfect island wedding!

Let’s do it!

A few months ago Lori And Denis planned a wonderful vacation here in Providenciales, a couple months later their plans changed from vacation only to destination wedding!   You would never know that the dress Laurie chose was a last minute selection, in Canada – in winter, it was absolutly perfect.

Grace Bay Club hosted their ceremony on the beach and they had their dinner at Anacaona later that evening.  Pastor Coleby  was a hit, again,  and Rachel from NILA destinations did a wonderful job organizing their special day.  Read the rest of this entry »

Our video and stills workshop with StillMotion

Posted by Chris Mann

stillmotion_150We’ve always been fans of the StillMotion team, who have been making waves in both wedding stills and videography in the last couple of years – so when we were looking for somebody to bring to Turks & Caicos to give us a creative workshop they were an easy choice!

Patrick, Konrad and Amina spent a week with us, going over the techniques that they use to make their wedding stills more exciting and their movies more interesting and compelling to watch – plus how they achieve that “big-screen movie” look. Read the rest of this entry »

A perfect destination wedding for two?

Posted by Andy Mann

rogers_frnt

Aga and David wanted the simplest of weddings. No fuss, no stress, just them. They (well Aga really!) scoured the internet for months looking all over the Caribbean to find the “perfect” destination spot.

According to Aga, what finally drew them to the Turks & Caicos was Tropical Imaging’s photography. To her having great pictures was more important than anything. She then found the resort, the flights and they had their perfect destination wedding picked out….Now we just had to do the shoot and meet those high expectations !!

The Wedding of Shannon and Greg

Posted by Ileana Ravasio

fairbend_423“Let’s make a deal: you can do everything you want but on our wedding day you have to smile and pose for a few pictures”. I’m not sure if Greg took Shannon’s words for gold or if he was extremely happy and simply could never stop smiling. The beautiful couple got married on January 30th 2009 on the pristine beach of Villa Renaissance, joined by their closest family and friends.

The excellent planning of Diane, from Island Harmony, the perfect weather, the friendly guests and, of course, the wonderful couple, made this wedding memorable. The blue theme matched the bridesmaids’ dresses, as well as the resort windows, the flowers, the decorations and a luminous sky – could you really ask for more?

Provo Primary School Photos 2009

Posted by Anita Marcus

pp-012-150Every year we go to Provo Primary School and do the annual school photos. We try to give our photos a little bit of a twist here and there so they don’t look the same every time.

We started off with the whole school and then went on from there with each student individually. The teachers watch over this event and help us out a lot. Kellie, David and myself could not help but notice how well behaved and polite all these kids are. What a great school! Or that is what we thought….

Run, play, laugh

Posted by Ileana Ravasio

rudolph_153bwwTwo years ago I had the opportunity to meet and photograph the Rudolph / Rosen family and I was truly happy when Lynne contacted me again few weeks ago to “update” their family photos. The kids grew up so much, especially little Sydney who was just a baby the first time she came to the Turks and Caicos Islands.

We met at The Somerset where the family was staying and after a few pictures taken in the garden area (where all the bougainvilleas are blooming) we headed to the beach to run, play and laugh! A sunny afternoon and plenty of soft sand is ideal to let the kids (and adults) be who they really are and capture their best expressions.

Pick a reason to celebrate

Posted by Ileana Ravasio

shapiro_015Was it Mom and Dad’s 35th wedding anniversary, Alice’s birthday, Alan’s birthday, the arrival of little Matty or the simple pleasure of a family vacation in the Turks and Caicos that inspired Jodi to book a photo-shoot with us? Life is precious and some moments should not be forgotten…

When I met the family in their ocean front suite at The Somerset a light rain and some dark clouds were covering the sky, but a little patience and faith went a long way, offering us the perfect light for some great images.

Kat and Mark – under “starter’s orders” on Grace Bay beach!

Posted by Chris Mann

johnson_00263thumbIn mid-October I had the pleasure of shooting an engagement session with Kat and Mark from the UK – and now it’s January and it’s time for their wedding!

Mark is a commentator on horse racing on British TV, and is soon to move to the US to become the first Briton to call the runners and riders for the world-famous Kentucky Derby. But first there was the important matter of getting married to Kat!

Mark and Kat have been regular visitors to Turks & Caicos over the years – so where better to “come under starter’s orders” than on Grace Bay beach, where Rachel from NILA Destinations had everything prepared… Read the rest of this entry »
