No special occasion

Posted by Anita Marcus

beaupre-013bwwMeet the Beaupre Family, grandparents, kids and grandchildren. All vacationing together in the Point Grace Hotel. No special occasion or anything, just being all together and having a good time, that is what grandma Joann told me. Ileana and myself took some images of the family members around the hotel. We hang out in the gardens of Point Grace a little longer than usual, because we could hear the wind blowing on the beach.

Fun on Grace Bay beach.

Posted by David Gallardo

bernal_042smallThis past Thursday Ileana and I had two photo sessions with two families that were staying at Villa Palermo on the south side of Providenciales. Because this villa is located on a cliff without a beach we decided to go to Grace Bay.

Once on Grace Bay beach I took the Bernal family for some fun photography. Dean, Brenda and their two kids Camille and Claude were a very funny family to work with – especially Dean who was joking all the time and making everyone laugh.

Just before the end of the session we got both families together for a group photo and some really cool and fun sunset images.

2 Families – 1 Vacation in the Turks and Caicos

Posted by Ileana Ravasio

miller_0611The day before yesterday David and I traveled to Villa Palermo to meet the Miller and Bernal families: 8 smiling faces were waiting for us, excited about their photo-shoots in the Turks and Caicos Islands.

The villa is absolutely stunning and the view is breathtaking but it’s not located on the beach… so we jumped in the cars and reached Grace Bay for a few feet-on-the-sand-shots (the advantage of living in Provo is that everything is only 5 or 10 minutes away!).

The Voskuil Family on vacation

Posted by Anita Marcus

voskuil-029firstMeet Wendy, Joel and both their teenage kids Lindsay and Eric from Canada. They came to visit the islands, they have never been here before and absolutely loved it. They were guests of the Sands Resort on Grace Bay.

The funny thing about photo shoots is you never know what is going to happen. Especially with little kids, they are in control of the shoot. Now with teenagers it can go both ways. Either it is very easy or……everything is stupid, you are cutting into their hanging out with friends time etc.

As a joke Lindsay and Eric kept saying in the photo shoot that things were stupid and we are so not going to do that. It was our fun thing while taking pictures. They were absolutely great, I’ll take you guys out any day :)

Anyway meet this lovely family. Read the rest of this entry »

Dina and Joe’s honeymoon session at Amanyara

Posted by Chris Mann

zito_thumbDina and Joe from New York decided to spend their honeymoon at the Amanyara resort, after getting married on March 3rd back home.

Rather than have a professional photographer at their wedding, they decided to wait and have a photo session with us here in Turks & Caicos (good choice! ;-) ), so on Monday evening I drove up to Amanyara for the session… Read the rest of this entry »

A video shoot for MAXIM magazine in Turks & Caicos

Posted by Chris Mann

maxim_thumbLast November I had a call from the PR Director of MAXIM magazine in New York, asking if we could help them out by recording video of their swimsuit model shoot here in Turks & Caicos, for use on their website.

Well, naturally that wasn’t a difficult question to answer! ;-)

I did a three-day shoot with them, working directly with the girls some of the time but mostly just documenting the photo sessions. Of course everything had to be hush-hush until the magazine issue came out, which is why I haven’t been able to blog about it before… Read the rest of this entry »

An opportunity for every bride to celebrate….herself.

Posted by Ileana Ravasio

thomas-0971When we talk with people outside the wedding industry – as soon as we mention that we shoot a lot of weddings – they instantly start talking about “bridezillas”  and all the hype….the reality of it however – and it might be just the type of bride that Turks and Caicos attracts – is that our brides are genuinely nice people who are actually more often concerned with the happiness of the whole group, family, friends than themselves.

But we feel our brides need to take some time for just them – to take advantage of the wonderful opportunity of being in the greatest shape of their lives, in an awesome dress, looking fab and standing on one of the top ten beaches in the whole world….a unique moment in anyone’s life for sure.

Family fun at the new Gansevoort Resort, Turks & Caicos

Posted by Andy Mann

riis_frntOn the recommendation of another family I photographed a few months back, Renee and Jon ask us to come over to the new Gansevoort resort to help capture their wonderful vacation at this brand new resort. We actually think they were the fist people to EVER stay in their room!  After a weather delay, we actually ended up shooting the session early in the morning. Whilst this is a little harder it does give you some amazing colors!

Rachel & Steve – engagement on Grace Bay

Posted by Chris Mann

passmore_087thumbI’ve been trying to set up a photo shoot for Rachel and Steve for ages – since they announced their engagement back in January in fact – but time and the weather conspired against us to prevent it, until last Sunday, when we met at Royal West Indies on Grace Bay to finally get some photos done!

Steve has his own photography business here on Provo, while Rachel works at the Menzies Clinic, so since I know both of them it was a special pleasure to do the session – and I confess a little bit nerve-wracking knowing that Steve would spot any technical mistakes!! ;-)

Thankfully though everything went smoothly! Read the rest of this entry »

The Cooke Family

Posted by David Gallardo

cooke_079smallAfter a couple of years working in the islands, Pauline and Grant Cooke and their six-month-old son Malcolm were going back to Scotland.

Just before leaving the Turks & Caicos they wanted to have some fun family photos on the beach and that is what we did one afternoon on Grace Bay. We started taking some photos around the beautiful gardens of Royal West Indies Resort and we finished walking on the white sandy beach and enjoying another great afternoon.

Malcolm was a little shy at the beginning but after a few minutes playing with his parents he started laughing and having a great time.
