Leah and Ryan’s Grace Bay Club Wedding – small is beautiful !

We’ve been fortunate enough to shoot destination weddings all over the Caribbean – Jamaica, Mexico, the Bahamas. Many have been huge – 300-400 people – ballrooms full of people! So you would think that a small, intimate 10 person wedding right here in Turks & Caicos would not get our pulses racing? Not so! From the moment Leah first contacted us, we knew this was going to be a wonderful wedding. And it was !
As I arrived, Leah’s dress was hanging from the rail of the elegant four-poster bed that is a feature of the rooms at Grace Bay Club.

Outside it was another “picture-perfect day” in Turks & Caicos – although a windy one!

With Leah still getting dressed it was off to see Ryan – luckily he was getting ready right next door.

A beautiful bride…..

with a beautiful dress…..

Last minute detailsĀ as we ran out the door !!

This was actually in the room..

This was taken right outside the lobby at GBC waiting for the SUV to take us to the secluded beach spot that Leah, Ryan and I had picked out a couple of days before the wedding.

It was very important to both Leah and Ryan to have a private wedding – so we found this secluded beach – just them – no frills, no arch – just beach, sea and sky as the natural accessories…

It was a family affair..

The moms check out the “bling” !!!!

Just the two of them, not another footprint in the sand !!

A little photoshop to enhance a candid moment.

As I turned 180 degrees another beautiful view.

The guys were not to be left out!

Ryan and his sister Alissa.

One thing that Leah told me on the telephone was that this was a “strictly candid” group – you’ll never get them to “pose” much.
Everything will have to be “candid” – don’t even try any of those running or jumping shots….
well…..ummm….well…I wasn’t planning on it…but…….looks like they hated it doesn’t it !!

ps for the record they “ran” – literally ran over 100 yds like this on the sand !!!!- they did it – not me – I just couldn’t stop them !!!!! Having so much fun !!!

We then headed back to the main Grace Bay Beach and the hotel for the legal paper work, a cocktail or three and caught the last rays of the sunset.

Even though it was only a few hours and literally ten minutes from our offices – not another country – it was a wonderful time.
Thank you so much to Leah, Ryan and both their families for their help and for making this just so easy and fun.

Thank you Andy!
The pictures we saw on your blog are beautiful! We can’t wait to see the rest of them! Ryan and I could not be happier with the way our wedding day turned out, and both agree that without you, it could not have been possible. You completely exceeded our expectations and captured our perfect day exactly the way we remember it, for that, we can’t thank you enough!
Thanks again,
The Stearmans

Hey. My fiance and I have narrowed our destination wedding search to 2 spots and Grace Bay is one of them. We visited Grace Bay on our engagement trip so we’re already familiar with the site but I was wondering how the actual planning and day-of event went? Any help would be great!!! Thanks in advance.
