The Voskuil Family on vacation

Posted by Anita Marcus Posted in Portraits | 1 Comment »

voskuil-029firstMeet Wendy, Joel and both their teenage kids Lindsay and Eric from Canada. They came to visit the islands, they have never been here before and absolutely loved it. They were guests of the Sands Resort on Grace Bay.

The funny thing about photo shoots is you never know what is going to happen. Especially with little kids, they are in control of the shoot. Now with teenagers it can go both ways. Either it is very easy or……everything is stupid, you are cutting into their hanging out with friends time etc.

As a joke Lindsay and Eric kept saying in the photo shoot that things were stupid and we are so not going to do that. It was our fun thing while taking pictures. They were absolutely great, I’ll take you guys out any day :)

Anyway meet this lovely family.

While mom and daughter had their photo, the guys were making fun of how cute they looked together.

Ask a son to look at dad for the photo……yeah! Sorry Eric.voskuil-0331

I love this picture with mom and dad out of focus in the background.

Lindsay is a dancer, she did this pose for me. I wanted to show it with motion.

Thank you for these lovely photos.

I went to school with Joel from 1970 thru 1976, and remember how sociable and kind he was to everyone at school. I also remember Joel’s parents and how kindly they were the few times I met them.

Although I haven’t seen Joel in over 30 years, I immediately recognized him in these photos, and am thrilled he was made such a wonderful family and had the opportunity of staying at such a lovely place.
