Happy Birthday Janice

Posted by Anita Marcus

bernadin-051-150Turning 18,  Janice got our photo shoot as a gift for her birthday from her boyfriend. We had to postpone the session a couple of times because of weather and illness but finally last Saturday everything was in our favor. We got permission to take photos in the beautiful West Bay Club. Janet brought four different outfits and I don’t think she could ever not look pretty in whatever she wears. It also gives the photo shoot more of a fashion look.

Since Janice did some photo shoots with us before already, I looked for a different location,  camera angles, even another time of day etc. This time we did a bunch of crazy stuff.

Susan & Kevin’s Vow Renewal at The Regent Palms

Posted by Kellie Hayes

vercauteren_0033sm

Last week Susan and Kevin renewed their vows after 17 years together.  Unfortunately, it rained all afternoon and we questioned if we should postpone to another day but we were determined that it would all work out.  With Susan looking gorgeous in her dress and all the thought and planning, it would have been a shame to have to change the date. The wedding of Stacy & Jeremy Cox

Posted by David Gallardo

cox_202smallAfter my first meeting with Stacy and Jeremy at the Emerald Shores Estate Villas I knew this was going to be a really fun and great wedding to photograph.

The ceremony took place on Taylor Bay on one of the most beautiful afternoons we had in weeks and because it was low tide we had a bigger beach and plenty of really cool locations to photograph such as small sand banks surrounded by shallow water.

I couldn’t ask for a more fun couple to photograph, Stacy and Jeremy and all their wedding guests had a blast during the whole wedding day.

Shanta and Richard are getting married!

Posted by Anita Marcus

rugby-063Shanta and Richard met each other for the first time in March 1998 during election time here in downtown Providenciales. Richard caught her attention by tugging her shirt as she passed by, and after a few messages through friends back and forth, they have been inseparable since. They have set their wedding date for the 28th of November this year.

Shanta, her mom and her maid of honor are busy planning the wedding at the moment and next week Shanta is going to try and find the dress of her dreams. I am sure whatever she decides to wear she is going to look gorgeous.

Leah and Ryan’s Grace Bay Club Wedding – small is beautiful !

Posted by Andy Mann

stearman_frntWe’ve been fortunate enough to shoot destination weddings all over the Caribbean – Jamaica, Mexico, the Bahamas. Many have been huge – 300-400 people – ballrooms full of people! So you would think that a small, intimate 10 person wedding right here in Turks & Caicos would not get our pulses racing? Not so! From the moment Leah first contacted us, we knew this was going to be a wonderful wedding. And it was !

The Wedding of Kate and Glen at the Seven Stars

Posted by Ileana Ravasio

schweikert_126Big weddings are amazing, but having the opportunity to cover a small, intimate, special event is always great – bride and groom can dedicate a little more time to us, adding lots of romance to their pictures.

Kate and Glen got married last Wednesday on the beautiful beach entrance of the Seven Stars resort on Grace Bay. Two of their closest friends witnessed the union which was officiated by Pastor Padmore, while the perfect organization of Teresa, from Tropical DMC, took care of every detail, delicious cake and chilled champagne included.

Lisa & Terry’s Vows Renewal at The Regent Palms

Posted by Ileana Ravasio

podnar_109Emotions, pressure, details, joy, worries and, of course, love combine their power to make the wedding one of the most important (and sometime stressful) days in a couple’s life. But to bring the memories back to life and reaffirm the wedding vows without any stress is a wonderful occasion.

Lisa and Terry chose The Regent Palms to “re-marry” each other and celebrate the bond that kept them together for the past 5 years.

She dreamed of a clear blue sky, warm rays of sun, a stunning turquoise ocean – the perfect Turks and Caicos recipe. But, unfortunately, the weather can’t be controlled and a torrential rain washed away her wishes… ’til the next day. It took a lot of patience, a few tears and the perfect organization of Dorrell, the resort events-planner to make the dream come true.

The Castillo family at Pelican Point

Posted by Chris Mann

The Castillo FamilyLast Friday evening I had a family portrait session scheduled with the Castillo family, from Houston Texas – but for once the rain intervened, and we had to postpone the shoot until Saturday morning.

Of course this meant that we didn’t have the opportunity to get sunset photos, but “every cloud has a silver lining” – the good thing about having a morning session is that you usually get a bright clear sky and a brilliant, sparkling turquoise ocean… Read the rest of this entry »

Vicky and Martin got married!

Posted by Anita Marcus

delisle202-150They have two friends living right here on Providenciales and the only thing they wanted for their wedding was getting married privately on a beach. Vicky and Martin told hardly anybody that they were getting married so it was all a big surprise.

The messages and photos were sent right after they said YES to their families and friends. I still can’t believe that we got such great weather, it was raining a lot the day before and Plan B and Plan C were already in the making. I told Vicky and Martin that in all the years I have been taking photographs I never had to move a wedding inside yet and certainly am not planning to. We are very fortunate here that we are so flexible in working around weather if we really have to. Read the rest of this entry »

Family.

Posted by Ileana Ravasio

oneil_018derLast April I had the great opportunity to cover Shelly and Michael’s wedding – her gorgeous, elegant, sexy and unusual black dress stuck in my mind as much as their wonderful personalities. They promised to come back to the Turks and Caicos with their kids and they kept their word – it was so nice to see them!

The family chose Beaches for their family vacation – however, to avoid the resort’s crowded beach, we traveled to Leeward beach – a secluded and stunning location.
