Is it the location or the people that makes a photo shoot “click”?

Posted by Andy Mann

khogairfrntAmanyara, Parrot Cay, Grace Bay Club, The Somerset, The Regent Palms, Mexico, Jamaica, The Bahamas, St Maarten, we’ve been so lucky in the fantastic places that we’ve been able to shoot over the years. From gorgeous resorts in Turks and Caicos which are all less then 7 years old with wonderful architecture and landscaping, to further-away destinations with ancient ruins and historical landmarks.

It was delightful to receive a call from Amanyara on Tuesday to arrange the photo shoot for a young couple on honeymoon. It was their last day, they were flying out tomorrow, could we help?? Of course I said YES!!

The wedding of Shelley & Shandi on Malcolm beach.

Posted by David Gallardo

werenka_208smallShelley and Shandy were looking for a very quiet and exclusive location to celebrate their wedding ceremony. Once they arrived on Providenciales they drove all over the island looking for a perfect beach without too many people around and that was when they found Malcolm beach.

Malcolm beach is probably one of the quietest places in Providenciales but with an amazing beach facing the North West side of the island makes a truly picture-perfect location.

This was my first wedding at this location and I really had a great time photographing Shelley and Shandi in one of the most beautiful  and quiet places you can find anywhere in the Turks & Caicos.

The wedding of Aimee & Robert Grant at Villa Renaissance

Posted by David Gallardo

grant_320smallAfter a lot of planning, emails and waiting for their special wedding day, it finally arrived on April 18th. Aimee is a big fan of our blog and after our first meeting a few days before their wedding day she had a list of images that she wanted us to capture.

This was a small wedding with only five people including the bride and groom, but it was very well planned as if was a much bigger affair, with lots of very special details.

Aime and Robert got ready at the beautiful property of Villa Renaissance and the ceremony took place on Grace Bay beach. After a sand ceremony and some really cool beach photos the newly-married couple and their wedding guests went to the Turks & Caicos Club to enjoy a a very nice and intimate reception. Pollyanna and Adam’s wedding at Grace Bay Club

Posted by Andy Mann

falkfrntPollyanna by her own admission has been checking out our blog virtually every day since they came down to do their engagement session back in November!!! Which really is a great compliment… When we met last week in the lobby of the Grace Bay Club, she knew the angles she loved, some of the locations we had previously used at Grace Bay – she had even been in contact with a previous bride we had photographed – even flew to meet her !! Both she and Adam were happy  to let me “do whatever you want”, but she definitely wanted a “fashion feel” to some of the images….

Happy Birthday grandma.

Posted by Anita Marcus

macinnes_0204-150 Joan celebrated her birthday party this year in the Turks and Caicos Islands. They brought their kids and their grandkids with them. As the blog post before, this is also a family that keeps coming back to the Turks and Caicos Islands. What is it with these islands? Actually all of us at Tropical Imaging know!  We all came here about 10 years ago and we are all still here :)

Anyway enough about us… We took the whole family to Leeward Beach, a beautiful stretch of white sand, no hotels and we love the backdrop with the rocks. The kids just had a ball on the beach, even little Alison, she is only 4 months old, was on an expedition. It was so cute to see how completely mesmerized she was with her sandy feet. Chase and Tucker just two brothers ready to do whatever you tell them not too.

Joan, Happy Birthday again from Kellie and myself and next year we will bring the cake :)

Turks and Caicos Islands 7 years in a row!

Posted by Anita Marcus

meyer_035-150The Meyers Family must love the islands because they keep coming back for more. This was their 7 th visit and not just to the islands but they also stay in the beautiful Coral Gardens Resort right on Grace Bay and in front of a magnificient snorkel reef. Bridget and Jen ( two best friends ) even took a scuba class to see this reef that starts right of the beach.

The Meyers have seen the islands change over the last 7 years. It has become busier, more hotels were build but of all the places on this planet it is very hard to compete with our white sandy beaches and the turquoise color of the water.

See  you all again next year and thanks for the Lemon Cafe recommendation, the food was great and loved the music.

The wedding of Lindsay & Bill Weingartner – Part 2

Posted by David Gallardo

weingartner_548smallThe day after the boat trip Chris and I went to Royal West Indies Resort where we started with some preparation photos just one hour before their beach weeding.

The ceremony was on Grace Bay beach on a very windy day but that didn’t stop anyone from having a great time on this very special day for Lindsay and Bill.

The reception took place just a few feet away from where they got married under a big white tent and a warm beach bonfire made a great end for their wedding day.

The Wedding of Jillian and Michael at The Somerset – part 2

Posted by Ileana Ravasio

tubridy_532Let’s get married! Everything is set: the arch and decoration look stunning, Pastor Coleby is rehearsing a few words of advice, Monique – The Somerset’s excellent wedding coordinator – is calling the bride, the guests are seated and the groom is holding his breath looking forward to marry the woman of his life.

Despite the strong wind and a few clouds the day is gorgeous, full of anticipation and smiles. Kellie and I never lower our cameras from our eyes as any moment is precious…

The Wedding of Jillian & Michael at The Somerset – Part 1

Posted by Ileana Ravasio

tubridy_248FABULOUS.

It’s the first word that comes to my mind when I think about Jillian and Michael’s wedding. I’ve been looking forward to photographing this unique event since the day I met the couple and they really exceeded my expectations: gowns, flowers, details, settings… we couldn’t ask for more.

Jillian and Michael are very artistic and they asked Kellie and I to capture images that would mirror their style – we loved it!

The Wedding of Lindsay & Bill Weingartner – Part 1

Posted by David Gallardo

weingartner_094smallIf you want  your wedding guests to enjoy a beautiful afternoon before your island wedding an option will be a sunset cruise on a custom sail boat and  that is what Lindsay and Bill did for their family and friends the day before their wedding day.

The trip started on a sunny afternoon on the Atabeyra sail boat and we cruised for about two hours close to some incredible and breathtaking beaches located just a few minutes away from Providenciales.

Everyone had a fantastic time and just before coming back to the marina we enjoyed another beautiful island  sunset.
