Villa Pelican Vista

The Babcock Family, who are from the west coast of Canada, booked this amazing villa near Leeward Beach for their vacation. I started taking some of the photos around the Villa and then we walked over to Leeward Beach, just across the road.

This stretch of beach is gorgeous. There are no hotels and the rocks on the coast line give me a different backdrop. There is also a little blue boat wreck on the beach upside down, which is great for taking some photos because of the bright blue color.

Hold the front page!

Well, I don’t think they’ll be awarding me a Pulitzer Prize just yet , but one of my photos from the recent Turks & Caicos Hotel Awards evening made the front page of one of our local papers.

Anita and I covered the Hotel Awards ceremony a few weeks ago, at which staff at various Turks & Caicos hotels and resorts were honoured for their outstanding work during the past year.

As part of the celebrations, the “We Funk” Junkanoo band performed, aided by the charming Miss Crystal Campbell who you can see leading the dance in my photo…
