The Wedding of Jillian & Michael at The Somerset – Part 1

FABULOUS.
It’s the first word that comes to my mind when I think about Jillian and Michael’s wedding. I’ve been looking forward to photographing this unique event since the day I met the couple and they really exceeded my expectations: gowns, flowers, details, settings… we couldn’t ask for more.
Jillian and Michael are very artistic and they asked Kellie and I to capture images that would mirror their style – we loved it!
The Rehearsal Dinner took place on the beautiful Somerset beach: bonfire, pig roast, cocktails, tiki torches, live music (The Island Boys) – the Turks and Caicos Islands at their very best.
The bougainvilleas are blooming at the resort and Jillian’s dress competed with their beauty

Michael personally designed the mesmerizing ring – it deserved all our attention

A “different” shot to capture the atmosphere

The Somerset and Grace Bay in their evening attire

To announce their union Jillian and Michael sent a “Save the date” postcard of the Turks and Caicos (who wouldn’t get excited about it?!?) and personalized it with an unique stamp featuring a picture from their engagement shoot in Provo

The dress was amazing but as Rob, Jillian’s dad, mentioned in his speech, the bride truly made the gown

Shenique, from Sheque Perfection, did an excellent job with the girls’ make-up. Christi, Jillian sister, was the MOH.

It’s about time – let’s put the dress on! The big window let plenty of natural light in the room

While I was busy with the girls, Kellie captured some amazing images of the groom. I love the boutonniere with a sneak peek of the tie in the background

So handsome!

A few final touches…

… and the magic moment is happening.

I’m sure you all are very curious to see what’s coming up. If Jillian promises to go shopping with me I’ll post a few more pictures in the next article
