The Wedding of Angela and Chad at Parrot Cay

Posted by Ileana Ravasio

strean_124The beautiful island of Parrot Cay is known all around the world for hosting celebrities’ vacations and weddings. But the events we prefer are the intimate, romantic, unique celebrations that announce the union of two very special people like Angela and Chad. They eloped to the Turks and Caicos to realize a dream and start a life together: gorgeous, fun, sweet and in love – what a perfect combination.

The so much appreciated organization of Peter Capezza and the resort’s team made sure all the details were taken care of: from the arch to the kind words of Dee Conolly (the marriage officer), from the delicate orchids to the private menu.

Alex and LT’s beautiful Parrot Cay destination wedding – wedding day !

Posted by Andy Mann

tosi_frnt1Despite some seasonal rain in the morning, the sun came out and it was a beautiful afternoon and evening for the wedding day itself.

Moving to an adjacent set of villas for the ceremony and reception, the team at Parrot Cay again outdid themselves with a wonderful location, right on the ocean, a stunning view and a reception site unlike any I have seen in Turks and Caicos.

Alex and LT’s beautiful Parrot Cay destination wedding – rehearsal night.

Posted by Andy Mann

tosi_frntCombine one of the Caribbean’s best resorts and a great group of close friends and family and you have all the ingredients for a wonderful wedding. I cannot think of a more perfect combination than last weekend’s wedding.

It wasn’t an easy shoot – with it being memorial day we were fully booked and I was shooting on my own – so lots of running around and then there was the rain – on again, off again – it added a whole level of “tension” to events. But whilst myself and the hotel staff were keeping an eye on the weather Alex and LT simply didn’t let it “get to them” and had wonderful smiles all weekend long.

Janice & Damon’s Vows Renewal at The Regent Palms

Posted by Chris Mann

photo of Damon and Janice - vows renewal at The Regent PalmsI think everyone who lives in Turks & Caicos would agree that we haven’t been very lucky with the weather lately – yes the rain is good as it fills up the water cisterns and makes the plants green – but it’s a nuisance when you are trying to take photos!

Thankfully on Tuesday evening the rain had stopped by the time I went to The Regent Palms to photograph Damon & Janice’s vows renewal. They were married two years ago back in the States but their wedding photography coverage was mainly documentary-style, so they didn’t get very many pictures of just the two of them at that time.

So our plan was to not only document the renewal ceremony, but also get some nice romantic images of “just the two of them”…

So how did I do? :) Read the rest of this entry »

The Wedding of Hanh and Kevin at Grace Bay Club

Posted by Ileana Ravasio

livingston_683Destination weddings: you’ve got to love them! Some are small and simple, others are big and full of details & activities. Hanh and Kevin put all their efforts to organize a memorable week-end to celebrate the beginning of their married life. From the boat-trips with Catch the Waves to the beach barbecue, from the girls’ turquoise dresses to the guys’ custom belts, from the invitation card and matching stamp (made with a picture I shot during their engagement session) to the New York – Island team…. perfection, fun, romance and much more!

Having met the couple several times and spent a full day with their guests prior to the wedding truly helped: I had their full confidence and cooperation – all I had to do was catch the moment and shoot it (I couldn’t help it but kindly giving some directions, of course).

The wedding of Lilly and Jacky at Half Moon Bay.

Posted by David Gallardo

chau_283smallAfter my first meeting with Lilly and Jacky I knew this was going to be a great wedding to photograph. They didn’t want  a ceremony close to any resorts and that is why they decided to get married at Half Moon Bay.

After thirty minutes sailing with Sail Provo, bride and groom and all their wedding guests arrived to an incredible and deserted Half Moon beach. The ceremony took place under a beautiful blue sky just a few feet away from the ocean, I don’t think they could have asked for a better location to celebrate their very special day.

After a short ceremony and some photos around the desert island, we sailed back to Provo where they had their beach reception.

The sun came out just as they did the first kiss !

Posted by Andy Mann

modell_frntYesterday – less than 24hrs ago, Natalie walked done the aisle and married Eric on the beach right in front of the Somerset Resort in Turks and Caicos. The wedding was supposed to have happened on Monday, but was delayed by almost continual rain – all week. In fact even up to a couple of hours before the ceremony they were still going for the “wet weather” solution of getting married in the penthouse overlooking the ocean. So we were all on “edge” as the ceremony approached a couple of large grey clouds hovered above the resort – would it rain again????

Teresa and Daniel’s Engagement Shoot

Posted by Chris Mann

Teresa and DanielIf you follow our blog you’ll have noticed that we talk about the weather quite a lot! That’s because we do almost all our shooting outdoors, so the weather matters to us and to our clients! However, that doesn’t mean that the sun has to be shining all the time for us to have a successful wedding or portrait session – in fact when it is overcast it gives us some soft, flattering light to work with, even if we don’t get such vibrant colours. It’s all good!

We’ve had a weather front coming through this week, so on Tuesday evening when I met Teresa and Daniel at Royal West Indies for their engagement shoot it was quite cloudy… Read the rest of this entry »

Kelli & Ryan’s wedding at the Sibonne Beach Hotel

Posted by David Gallardo

dorschel_255small1This wedding was the start of a really busy month with quite a few weddings ahead of us, but is good to know that many couples still choosing the Turks & Caicos to celebrate their very special wedding day.

Kelli & Ryan had their wedding ceremony on Grace Bay beach just in front of the Sibonne Beach Hotel and because Ryan works on the island it was easier for them to organize everything themselves and they did an outstanding  job.

Around 23 family and very close friends attended their beach ceremony but at their reception more friends and Ryan’s coworkers joined them to celebrate this very special day.
