The sun came out just as they did the first kiss !

Yesterday – less than 24hrs ago, Natalie walked done the aisle and married Eric on the beach right in front of the Somerset Resort in Turks and Caicos. The wedding was supposed to have happened on Monday, but was delayed by almost continual rain – all week. In fact even up to a couple of hours before the ceremony they were still going for the “wet weather” solution of getting married in the penthouse overlooking the ocean. So we were all on “edge” as the ceremony approached a couple of large grey clouds hovered above the resort – would it rain again????
Whilst the weather was adding some drama to the day, the star of the show was Eden, their very cute daughter, who despite having a quite normal “meltdown” as Natalie was trying to get ready (imagine doing makeup with one hand whilst holding a baby in the other!) was actually a superstar as soon as Eric picked her up and we did some pictures.
This was my favorite….
Then it was off to see Natalie, who was being helped by Monique into her dress, with occasional glimpses outside to check on those clouds…
As Natalie looked outside I remembered a wonderful pose that Doug Gordon had showed us on one of our masterclasses – what a better way to take a grey day and make it (and Natalie) look fab.
Looking for something a little different to do with the bouquet – I used the texture of the TV cabinet (!!) as a wonderfully ornate backdrop.
After a few sips of restorative champagne Natalie was now ready and looking wonderful. Just natural window light pouring into the suite at the Somerset!!
With her “photo moment” over, Eden took a nap right as the ceremony started !!
Then literally as they did the first kiss, the first rays of sunshine came out – pure Hollywood!!! You can see the sunlight hitting them below !!!
After some signing, paperwork and a little more champagne the sun was setting – yes we actually had a sunset too !! Eden had woken up from her quick nap and wanted to join in the pictures.
And the day ended as it had begun with the real star of the show !!!!!
