The Wedding of Hanh and Kevin at Grace Bay Club

Destination weddings: you’ve got to love them! Some are small and simple, others are big and full of details & activities. Hanh and Kevin put all their efforts to organize a memorable week-end to celebrate the beginning of their married life. From the boat-trips with Catch the Waves to the beach barbecue, from the girls’ turquoise dresses to the guys’ custom belts, from the invitation card and matching stamp (made with a picture I shot during their engagement session) to the New York – Island team…. perfection, fun, romance and much more!
Having met the couple several times and spent a full day with their guests prior to the wedding truly helped: I had their full confidence and cooperation – all I had to do was catch the moment and shoot it (I couldn’t help it but kindly giving some directions, of course).
We love capturing the hour that precedes the ceremony: the last minute preparations, the anticipation of the big moment, the friendship of the bridal party, the affection of the parents… wonderful images are created every second.
While shooting a few details I found a piece of coral that Hanh and Kevin collected from the beach – the Tiffany boxes are beautiful, but I used this island sign to hold the rings

Next door Krystin was documenting the relaxed atmosphere of the guys’ preparation

Despite the situation, the next 2 images are my favorites for the day: Hanh was worried about the arrival of her parents and I should have given her some privacy… but I knew I would have never had the opportunity to catch her peeking out of the door again

Was she feeling awkward when I asked Hanh to lay down across the bed and the girls were making fun of her? Of course! But now she agrees that the “pain” was worth it

The ceremony took place in front of Grace Bay Club resort. Thanks to the rehearsal and Shameka’s wonderful organization everything ran smooth as velvet

The bridal party in action

Someone call it “the vampire kiss” – I call it love!

While the guests enjoyed a cocktail at the lounge, Krystin and I ran to the Estates to capture this:

I’m sure the movie piece that Andy shot will give full credit to their first dance – but a glance at Kevin’s expression tells everything

… and it’s party time!

Guys I miss you already… when are you coming back?

Ileana – we miss you too! The weekend was SO much fun and I wish we could’ve kept it going for even longer. Thanks to you, Andy and Kristin for capturing all the special moments and being so fantastic to work with and be around. All of our guests thought you guys rocked! We will certainly be back to Provo and hopefully soon!
