The beach, the ocean and us

Have you ever dreamed of a secluded Caribbean beach, where the ocean disappears into the horizon, the white sandy beach meets a beautiful rock formation, a pelican flies undisturbed, the only sound is the beat of your heart and the gentle movement of the waves? Deanne and Mike pictured their wedding in this special place and made it real.
After exchanging a few emails and chatting a little on the phone I had the pleasure to meet the couple at the luxury Estate at Grace Bay Club. We drove to Leeward Beach and it was love at first glance. Read the rest of this entry »

On Friday I met with the NeSmith family at The Somerset for a “Beach Escape” family portrait session. The Beach Escape is a little different from our regular portrait sessions as we have more time (up to two hours typically) and we hop in the van and go to a different location around the island as well as taking pictures at the resort.
They specifically wanted to get some photos with the deep blue ocean as a background, so we scheduled their shoot for first thing in the morning instead of the hour before sunset as we normally do.
