Resses Pieces marries Daniel in Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos

We have been looking forward to helping Daniel and Teresa with their wedding in Grand Turk for sometime. This is the second wedding in the family in six months – with Tessa, Teresa’s sister’s getting married in Dec 08. So it was wonderful to see some familiar faces and to again be part of a special day. Although many things were the same, the house for getting ready, the reception venue, it was a very different wedding. It had its own moments, its own personality and its own story.
Whilst Teresa was having her makeup the boys outside the room were biding their time. This is one of my favorite type of moments at a wedding – it’s not always about the bride!

With only a few minutes to spare I captured Daniel waiting at the church.
The theme for the wedding was “something blue”.
One of my favorite images from the day – I just love the anticipation as Daniel waits for Teresa to appear at the church doors.

Here is Tessa and grandpa leaving the church. We also helped with Tessa’s wedding.
It was then off to Governor’s Beach to capture some family photographs. With the ceremony starting at 9am it was around 11am by now – hot, sunny and bright so finding some shade was a must!
Love the color of the ocean though – it’s real !

They did a wonderful job at the Yellowman and Sons Auditorium.
When they arrived at the reception Daniel and Teresa did the “jumping the broom” tradition.
After some great food, some moving toasts, bouquet toss and garters there was just time for a first dance before I had to head back to Providenciales.

If I wasn’t able to make it to this wedding I would have been extra heart-broken after seeing these pictures.

Sorry I was not there. I took my time looking at the beautiful pictures, and I think they were exceptionally done.
Now you have started a new journey, be cautious, put God first in everything you do and dont listen to anyone and be the best person you can to Daniel – whom I dont know, but seems to be from my hometown, Ja. Jamaicans would say tek care a yuhself” I hope you will go there for your honeymoon.
