The Wedding of Daria and Thomas at Point Grace

Colagiacomo_005 Loved it! Daria and Thomas got married on the beautiful beach of Point Grace (the widest in Providenciales) on July 10th 09 – every single detail, moment, setting, song and emotion was pure perfection.

The privacy of the resort, the wonderful organization of Estelle and the team of Nila Destinations, the delicious food and precious settings of Grace’s Cottage, the great weather and sunset – they had it all and I was lucky enough to photograph it.

When I arrived in the room I was pleasantly surprised by the preparation of the elements I had to capture – what a treat

Daria’s fair complexion and Thomas’ Mediterranean skin were picture perfect: ladies, trust me when I say that the camera doesn’t love a dark tan – it makes you look older :( – if you decide to get married in the Caribbean, make sure to cover yourself with sun screen! Here is the proof:

I love this traditional shot of Daria – she looks like a model from “Brides” magazine

Tommy, such a handsome groom

Estelle was getting ready to set up the final details on the beach – I spotted her at the last minute and stole this shot before she ran away

Point Grace’s deck is the perfect aisle. I’m not sure if Daria was laughing at the idea of getting married or at the funny aunts that were cheering her entrance

Who wouldn’t dream of getting married here?!?

The veil was flying all over the place… and I was happy about it. This shot is already in my portfolio

Simple. Amazing.

This is another of my favorite shots of the day – standing on the ladder that I used to photograph the group shot, I got this bird’s-eye-view of the couple

No tan = porcelain skin. Brides, please take notes :P

I really liked the design used for all the elements of the wedding

While Mike, the best man, was giving his speech, I spotted the youngest of the group checking out the situation – so cute!

Having an assistant helping with the light is great – as I was missing one I used a second flash and an umbrella mounted on a tripod to get this shot

Congratulations Daria and Thomas!

  1. You are truly an artist. I appreciate your work, and definitely agree that my new sister-in-law belongs in a bride magazine. My brother didn’t look so bad himself. But the icing on the cake is the sweetest expression on my daughter’s face as she admired her daddy!

  2. Ileana you did such a wonderful job! We both absolutely love the photos! It was a pleasure working with you! We are so happy to have had you as our photographer for one of the most important days of our lives!!

  3. Your work is exceptional! It doesn’t hurt that the bride and groom made such a good-looking couple! I agree Daria looked stunning as well as my son, Tom. You have captured all the beatiful memories that we will keep with us forever!
Thank you for helping to create these everlasting memories!
Hoping to be back next year to continue making new memories of this day!
