The Fashion show at The Somerset Resort, Turks and Caicos
Posted by Andy Mann
This is the third year we have helped the Somerset resort with its annual fashion show or “Fashionation”. With all local models, local designers, local makeup artists and the Somerset itself, its amazing what they are able to produce in a busy event and party season.
At the last count their were at least four other events all happening last Saturday evening- which for an island the size of Provo is a lot! It was a great show and even had a few cameo appearances from the Somerset team too!
Well done to Karen, Monique, Courtney and everyone else.

As both Shinaaz and Chris live in the Turks and Caicos we picked a great day to do their quick and easy engagement session. They both wanted something fun and simple - so earlier this week we did just that !
We are getting more and more excited these days as our new studio comes to life. I was just onsite earlier this AM – it’s been a month – to capture a few progress pics and update our green blog. WOW it’s really coming along nicely. I am very happy with the quality, even at this “rough and ready” stage. It’s going to be great to get in and have this wonderful facility !! Here is the link to the article on our blog covering the building progress.
Well summer is virtually over in the US and the autumn/winter season always brings on a flurry of proposals.
What a fabulous couple. A few days ago I sat down and chatted with Kristen and Tamir about their wedding next May. It was great that they could spend a few days down in the Turks and Caicos planning their wedding with the help of Diane from
We are so excited that we’ll finally been able to work out an agreement with probably the best music production sources available anywhere. Finding the right music for our projects has always been a challenge. We want to be legal and not use regular music, but at the same time cannot stand budget quality “elevator music” that is available “royalty free”. We think we’ve found the perfect solution….
Yesterday I popped over to the building site to see the progress – wow !!
For the last 3 or even 4 years we have been delighted to help the Turks and Caicos Tourist Board with a photo shoot of the contestants for Miss Turks and Caicos (or Miss Earth TCI – I think it is this year?).
After attending the Engage 09 event in Cayman last month – a meeting of high end wedding professionals from several countries – I have been keeping in touch / following several people including Marcy Blum who has a fab new
About an hour before the wedding I got a call from NILA Destinations – the groom was running a little late – he was currently sitting in the Doctor’s office on an IV drip and under doctor’s orders to “rest”…..but the wedding was going ahead – he hoped… It’s moments like this that define people. Would the bride be OK? I could only imagine what state Alison might be in. Clearly this wasn’t going to be a “run of the mill” wedding – it was going to need flexibility, “thinking on our feet” and a delicate touch. If you are even thinking about have a wedding WITHOUT a planner or other professionals – this is exactly why you need them!
