About a month ago we went to Grand Turk to photograph one of the most charming hotels in the Turks & Caicos Islands. Osprey Beach hotel is not a big resort like the ones you can find in Providenciales, it has 27 beach-front rooms and it is located on the famous Front Street, just few feet away from the beautiful turquoise water of Columbus Passage.The hotel is run by Jenny and her very friendly staff. Photographing food is always very interesting and fun too and so that is what we did last week at the O’Soleil Restaurant located at the Somerset. After a few minutes meeting with Lauren the chef, she started to bring some of the main dishes, it really makes you very hungry seeing all this incredible food just a few inches away from your camera. It was wonderful to be asked again to photograph the contestants for this years Miss TCI competition.
This year we wanted to bring more of a local feel by starting off at the Conch Shack and then add in a dramatic contrast by moving to the always glamorous Somerset Resort and its fabulous beach.

Once in a while we get to shoot photos for corporate groups who come here for conferences or incentive or promotional trips. On Thursday I met up with some folks from Eli Lilly, who were staying at the Regent Palms.
We did some photos of the delegates and their guests, and then a group photo of the whole team. A couple of people were missing due to delayed flights, but those who had arrived were clearly getting into the spirit of Turks & Caicos and having a great time!

On June 20th the development of the exclusive Dellis Cay Resort took a major step forward with the groundbreaking ceremony, which marked the official beginning of construction work on this private island getaway.
We were there to cover the event on behalf of the developers, with both video and stills…

Last week we had the opportunity to do some commercial photography for the IGA supermarket. IGA is the biggest and probably the busiest supermarket in all the Turks & Caicos Islands.

As part of our recent Platypus Video Workshop, each of us had to make a five-minute documentary on a subject of our choice.
Not too hard, you might think – but we only had a single day in which to shoot it, and a day and a half allowed to download and edit the footage into a finished piece!
