Little Caribbean Mermaid Xmas pantomimeEvery two years the Turks & Caicos Friends of the Arts put on a Christmas pantomime at Brayton Hall, Providenciales . It stars a dedicated and talented amateur cast & crew, who give up a huge amount of their free time to put on an exciting and fun-packed show that appeals to adults and children alike. This year the story is “The Little Caribbean Mermaid & the Enchanted Ring”.

I’ve posted some photos that i took at the dress rehearsal over on our Brilliant.tc blog – take a look, and do go and see the show if you can, it’s going to be a lot of fun!

Froggie’s Ultimate ATV Tours.

Posted by Anita Marcus

Froggie-006-firstI have heard people say that there is not much to do here on the islands. I never ever got that. Really…… you mean besides diving, snorkeling, fishing, island hopping, horse back riding, snuba, going on a submarine, renting a scooter, wake boarding, tubing, kite surfing, taking walks on the beach, going to the cinema, doing a photo shoot with us :) kart racing, miniature golf, doing all kinds of sports ( well okay… except for ice hockey, but we could even do that here, if someone would freeze the sports center ) So take your pick and more. Ten ways to “pop the question” in Turks and Caicos.

Posted by Andy Mann

Sandpiper_frntWell summer is virtually over in the US  and the autumn/winter season always brings on a flurry of proposals.

It’s also not uncommon for us to hear that the reason why many brides choose the Turks and Caicos for their wedding was that they had previously been on vacation here or were proposed to in the TCI – so we thought we’d give the guys a helping hand with some ideas.

Enjoy!

Nikki and Tim Part 1.

Posted by Anita Marcus

Wesloh-030firstweddingNikki and Tim back together again! What a great story. This couple was married before, about 6 years ago…yes to each other. They separated, run into each other years later, and fell completely in love with each other again. How romantic.

Nikki also wanted to get as much use out of her dress as possible while here. I loved her idea. You can do two things with your wedding dress. Hang it in your closet inside a plastic bag and stare at it for the next 20 years while it is collecting dust…..or hey are you really ever going to wear it again? Exactly! So why not have some fun with it the day after your wedding and of course some different photos to go with it. So look out for Nikki and Tim Part 2 for some “Trashing the dress” photos. Caribbean Amateur Golf Championship 2009 in Turks & Caicos

Posted by Chris Mann

Caribbean Golf Championship 2009From the 3rd to the 8th August Provo Golf Club played host once again to the Caribbean Amateur Golf Championship – the last time the championship was held here was ten years ago, so it was a welcome return. This year the contest was ably supported by headline sponsor, Bordier Bank, and organized by the Turks & Caicos Golf Association and its tournament director John Phillips.

Teams of 14 golfers from each of the Bahamas, Barbados, Cayman Islands, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, OECS (Eastern Caribbean Islands), Puerto Rico, Trinidad and Tobago, Turks and Caicos Islands and US Virgin Islands took part.

There was a great sense of camaraderie and fun among all the participants – though some serious golf was played too, despite the hot weather! Puerto Rico’s team emerged as overall winners, retaining their title from last year’s contest in the Cayman Islands. Read the rest of this entry »

Miss Turks and Caicos Photo shoot and behind the scenes video

Posted by Andy Mann

MISSTCI09frntFor the last 3 or even 4 years we have been delighted to help the Turks and Caicos Tourist Board with a photo shoot of the contestants for Miss Turks and Caicos (or Miss Earth TCI – I think it is this year?).

We do it for free, it’s fun and the girls are great to work with. This year it’s a little more low-key (naturally) so it was just a quick two-hour shoot near our studio and on Grace Bay Beach.

Getting married in 2010 – is this your style?

Posted by Andy Mann

blog-frntAfter attending the Engage 09 event in Cayman last month – a meeting of high end wedding professionals from several countries – I have been keeping in touch / following several people including Marcy Blum who has a fab new blog – on her blog she highlights several trends that she would like to see “disappear” (I agree with almost all of them).

Anyway she also mentioned the trend of dancing down the aisle – then today I got this…..

Resses Pieces marries Daniel in Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos

Posted by Andy Mann

Andrews_frnt

We have been looking forward to helping Daniel and Teresa with their wedding in Grand Turk for sometime. This is the second wedding in the family in six months – with Tessa, Teresa’s sister’s getting married in Dec 08. So it was wonderful to see some familiar faces and to again be part of a special day. Although many things were the same, the house for getting ready, the reception venue, it was a very different wedding. It had its own moments, its own personality and its own story.

Systagenix in Turks and Caicos Islands

Posted by Anita Marcus

Systagenix-063firstSystagenix, a large company with around 600 employees worldwide, got their top sales staff a trip to the Turks and Caicos Islands as a way to say thank you for their hard work last year. Systagenix develops wound care solutions based on evidence.

All 14 couples (including the presidents) were staying in the beautiful Grace Bay Club. They had an award night, a day full of water sports, lots of other activities and even a wedding.

David and myself were the selected two to go out with them on their watersports day and capture the spirit of the day, what a blast! I can tell you this was so much fun for everybody, including us :-) We got some great action shots, some beautiful backgrounds for each couple on the beach and of course the funniest expressions on faces.
