I posted a few weeks ago about our new brand “Brilliant”, which we will be using for our wedding and portrait work – well the new website and blog for Brilliant is now up and running – and we invite you to step over there and take a look!

We are getting more and more excited these days as our new studio comes to life. I was just onsite earlier this AMÂ – it’s been a month – to capture a few progress pics and update our green blog. WOW it’s really coming along nicely. I am very happy with the quality, even at this “rough and ready” stage. It’s going to be great to get in and have this wonderful facility !! We are so excited that we’ll finally been able to work out an agreement with probably the best music production sources available anywhere. Finding the right music for our projects has always been a challenge. We want to be legal and not use regular music, but at the same time cannot stand budget quality “elevator music” that is available “royalty free”. We think we’ve found the perfect solution….
Usually on our blog we’re posting about things that have happened – weddings, portrait sessions, commercial jobs, and events that we have covered, like the recent Caribbean Golf Tournament for example.
Yesterday I popped over to the building site to see the progress – wow !!
For the last 3 or even 4 years we have been delighted to help the Turks and Caicos Tourist Board with a photo shoot of the contestants for Miss Turks and Caicos (or Miss Earth TCI – I think it is this year?).

Learning is a fundamental part of Tropical Imaging. It’s part of our DNA. We love new techniques, new ideas, new ways of doing things whether it’s in Photoshop, with the camera or on a bigger scale using multimedia and movies to tell your story. Aside from the technical “how can we do it better” side of the company we also have the marketing and “business side” and I recently went to the Cayman Islands to attend engage09 – a small but powerful wedding conference with some of the top people in the industry. What did I learn? Who did I see and meet?
Once upon a time, there was a company called “Fish Frames”, which specialized in underwater photography and video. As it grew, and started doing more and work on dry land instead of underwater, it took on a new name and became “Tropical Imaging”. And that name’s worked very well for our business over the last ten or more years.
As part of some “summer fun” here in Turks and Caicos we are offering free ice cream for all kids and family photo shoots – Woohoo!!
