We use a great company for our printing, they are called “Printingforless” – it’s all online, they have the most amazing customer service (and I mean AMAZING) and the end products are always top quality.
I placed an order for these cards only on June 8th and we got the box today via FEDEX!! WOW
Anyway here is the card that is going out to the resorts tomorrow – sneak peak !!

Well summer is well and truly here, it’s getting hot and we are getting more and more romance and honeymoon couples visiting the Turks and Caicos. It makes sense, so many weddings happening in the US and Turks and Caicos is such a “hot” honeymoon destination. As a little encouragement for those “guys” who might not be so keen on pictures (yes we know who you are 
), we’ve added the offer of some free champagne for your romantic shoot.
It’s just so easy to do – most resorts in TCI are beachfront properties with amazing garden areas too. What could be easier than grabbing a bottle of chilled champagne and heading down to the beach just before sunset for a quick shoot with just the two of you. A perfect way to remember this perfect trip. Just tell him there’s some free champagne… once he sees the pictures he’ll tell you it was his idea all along!!!

Down here we have a very active Tourist Board and Hotel Association who put a lot of effort into promoting Turks and Caicos as a vacation destination, and also as a great place for corporate events and weddings as well as family vacations.
Earlier this week they hosted a group of travel agents from North America who came down to check out some of the newer upscale resorts that have opened recently, including the Gansevoort, The Regent Grand, West Bay Club, Nikki Beach, and Beaches’ Italian Village, as well as some established favorites such as The Regent Palms, Point Grace, The Sands, and The Alexandra.

You probably have no idea that we are planning a new studio and that its going to be the Turks & Caicos Island’s FIRST greenbuild project…. YES !!

Well, I don’t think they’ll be awarding me a Pulitzer Prize just yet 
, but one of my photos from the recent Turks & Caicos Hotel Awards evening made the front page of one of our local papers.
Anita and I covered the Hotel Awards ceremony a few weeks ago, at which staff at various Turks & Caicos hotels and resorts were honoured for their outstanding work during the past year.
As part of the celebrations, the “We Funk” Junkanoo band performed, aided by the charming Miss Crystal Campbell who you can see leading the dance in my photo…

Last November I had a call from the PR Director of MAXIM magazine in New York, asking if we could help them out by recording video of their swimsuit model shoot here in Turks & Caicos, for use on their website.
Well, naturally that wasn’t a difficult question to answer!
I did a three-day shoot with them, working directly with the girls some of the time but mostly just documenting the photo sessions. Of course everything had to be hush-hush until the magazine issue came out, which is why I haven’t been able to blog about it before… Read the rest of this entry »

When we talk with people outside the wedding industry – as soon as we mention that we shoot a lot of weddings – they instantly start talking about “bridezillas” and all the hype….the reality of it however – and it might be just the type of bride that Turks and Caicos attracts – is that our brides are genuinely nice people who are actually more often concerned with the happiness of the whole group, family, friends than themselves.
But we feel our brides need to take some time for just them – to take advantage of the wonderful opportunity of being in the greatest shape of their lives, in an awesome dress, looking fab and standing on one of the top ten beaches in the whole world….a unique moment in anyone’s life for sure.

We always like to see how we are doing compared with others in our industry and the international 16×20 print competition of the WPPI organization is an excellent benchmark to judge ourselves against. It’s the best wedding and portrait photographers in the world and they have hundreds of entries from USA, Canada, Australia, Europe, and now the Caribbean!
So as we have done before – we scoured through our files for our best/fav images and selected the best (we hope…). There were MANY we could have used – but we had to limit it as we have to FedEx prints from the USA to TCI , then to the USA again for the competition and then back again to TCI – so it gets a little expensive!
