Shinaaz and Chris’ engagement session

Posted by Andy Mann

Adamo-frntAs both Shinaaz and Chris live in the Turks and Caicos we picked a great day to do their quick and easy engagement session. They both wanted something fun and simple -  so earlier this week we did just that !

It was delightful  – the connection they have is wonderful to see and they were BOTH game enough to go the whole nine yards and really get into it. The wedding is going to be so much fun!

Family Time!

Posted by David Gallardo

Sangster_004smallAfter two weddings, boat trips, rehearsal dinners, and a few busy weeks with lots of planing for the Sangster and the Pollon families they decided to have one family portrait just before everyone gets back to home countries.

It was fun and easy for Chris and I because we already knew everyone from all the previous events we had already done with all of them and it was great to see everyone so relaxed and having such a great time.

For the start of the photo shoot we took some photos around the Ocean Club West Resort and we continued on a very quiet Grace Bay beach where all enjoyed another great sunny afternoon.

Andie and Nick’s honeymoon.

Posted by Anita Marcus

ray-025firstLast Friday I hopped on the ferry to North Caicos to meet up with Andie and Nick. They picked me up from the marina in North Caicos and off we went on our island tour. We drove from North Caicos to Middle Caicos and our first stop was at Mudjin Harbour with its spectacular coast lines, pretty secluded and a start for endless walks. Andie and Nick were up for anything, so right after starting their honeymoon photo shoot we got into the waves already. From there we visited the Indian Cave and with the light coming through from above we got some amazing shots. We had way too much fun everywhere, so much even that by this time I already missed my ferry back to Providenciales :)

Yoga and Cardio at Rock it Hot Fitness, Turks & Caicos

Posted by Ileana Ravasio

Jo_selected_008Everybody nowadays want a perfect body: fit, beautiful, healthy… simply hot! Luckily in Provo we have the chance to have some amazing instructors to keep our bodies and spirits in perfect shape. I loved photographing Jo and David, from Rock it Hot Fitness – trying to capture in a single image the essence of who they are was an interesting challenge…

I met Jo and Natasha (the studio owner) at 7:30am on Sunday morning (what happened to days off?!?) – despite Jo’s hesitation to be in front of the camera in skimpy clothes, the results were excellent – her perfect form and muscle definition easily got me the shots I was looking for. Cassandre and Rodney.

Posted by Anita Marcus

lavard-114f1firstRodney grew up here in the islands before he made a move to the States. Of course he loves his homeland and when he met Cassandre he could not wait to show the islands off to her. Now it is an even more special place for the both of them, because a couple of years ago Rodney asked Cassandre to marry him and he did so right here on the Provo Golf Course.

This time they were both here for the Caribbean Amateur Golf Championship 2009, and I got some of their spare time to take some engagement photos. Besides taking some photos on the Golf Course we decided to hook up at the Gansevoort-Wymara where they are going to get married in October this year. The beach is amazing, white sand, sea oats and blue ocean. I loved Cassandre’s blue dress, it pops on the beach. ( thanks Cassandre’s mom ) Read the rest of this entry »

From the Turks & Caicos to Costa Rica

Posted by Ileana Ravasio

Hudson_117derSome people have the special gift to silently enter your life and make it better… one of these extraordinary people is my friend Darlene. I met her as soon as I arrived on island 8 years ago and admired her sparkling personality since. We captured her family portrait, her daughter Bradey’s wedding and now her beautiful granddaughter. Bradey, Rob and Grayson recently moved to Costa Rica but they come back to Providenciales on a regular basis to spend time with their family and friends. Read the rest of this entry »

Lori and Robert.

Posted by Anita Marcus

argento-080bwwloLori and Robert got married in their home town New York. For their honeymoon they came over here, to  the Turks and Caicos Islands. They both loved the idea of wedding photos on the beach but they also love their home town. What to do, decisions, decisions.

So for everybody that is faced with this dilemma here is the great idea Lori and Robert came up with. They got married in their home town, flew to Caribbean with the two of them for their honeymoon, brought the wedding dress, dressed up and had pictures taken on the beach. Both wishes packed into one perfect wedding.

Sarah and Kris at Sibonné, Turks and Caicos

Posted by Ileana Ravasio

Brine_020derTraveling to Australia to discover a fabulous country, incredible scenery, amazing people and celebrate the end of college it’s without any doubt a great experience… but it can be even better if during the trip you meet the person you know you are going to marry and they live only a few hours away from you!

This is the story of Sarah and Kris, a beautiful couple I had the honor to meet a few days ago during their visit to the Turks and Caicos. They will get married next year and it was our pleasure to offer them some amazing images to announce their wedding.

Pole Dancing at Rock it Hot fitness Turks and Caicos

Posted by Ileana Ravasio

Natasha_037irWikipedia defines Pole Dancing a sport and a form of performing art, a combination of dancing and gymnastics. It’s getting more and more popular every day and it’s reached the Turks and  Caicos Islands too.

When Natasha, from Rock it Hot fitness asked me to take some arty, classy, elegant pictures of her on the pole I was a little perplexed… somehow I wasn’t sure how pole dancing could be defined as “classy and elegant”. After spending a few hours at the studio I had a completely different vision of this performance: it requires significant strength, flexibility and endurance – it’s hot but also beautiful and extremely difficult. Estelle

Posted by Anita Marcus

Carstens-036firstI got Estelle to finally do a photo shoot with us. Estelle who works for Nila Destinations as a wedding and event planner and she is a great personal friend of mine. She is also a girl that absolutely does not like to have her picture taken. Why? I have no idea, it is not because she is shy :)

I also know already that she is going to yell at me for putting her photos on our blog, but hey. Now before you go home next week to South Africa, your boyfriend can already see some of you :)
